I have been think about the possibility of making servers for some of the more popular online games. Things like 100% uptime Minecraft , Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield 3 servers for everyone to play on. Battlefield servers cost money buy space from official companies and I will also need donations and such to be able to build a PC as a capable server rig and such. I would like to see this happen. In the near future, I will be posting a page for donations to help the project along. I would start a Kick Starter page, although that is limited to US residents only (I’m Australian)

Please tell me what you think in the comments below.

Minecraft has had a new weekly snapshot released. It hasn’t brought too many ‘huge’ changes, just a few basic things that have generally improved the game. The new features are:

-New Defence Golem for Villages

-Up-side-down stairs

-Lighting changes

As I said, not huge changes, but the Defence Golems are pretty damn powerful, killing zombies in 2 hits. To me, that’s pretty cool. I haven’t tested it, but it has been said that they can be crafted using an Iron Fence and a Pumpkin. This is not confirmed by me, although various people have said it, so I thought I would give it a mention.

Also, the up-side-down stairs can be placed to make an arrow-proof open gap, allowing you have an opening in a structure that mobs can’t attack through. It’s not game changing, although it’s pretty cool and should open up more in the way of building. The lighting changes change the look of the game, but really don’t do a lot functionally.

All in all, this snapshot has brought a few more interesting elements to the game, and should make 1.2 pretty interesting.
